Needing to remember to breathe....
Yes, that's right! We are moving! We are leaving Florida as soon as we can sell our house. I know, I know, the market is just horrible. But I am a believer in things happening when they are supposed to happen. SO, I believe that the house will sell, and we will get enough from the sale of 4069 Red Pine Lane that we can build a beautiful studio in Asheville, too!
Anth and I have come to LOVE the little trailer. This past trip the mountains were so clear and beautiful. At night it's so sweetly peaceful.
I will miss my students more than I can allow myself to feel. They are like an extended family to me, and I feel like the young ones are "my children", bless them all! I will miss my dear friends, too. Once we have a new studio, the Captain will feel complete up there. He loves the outdoors, as do I, but feels empty in the evening, when he would like to be listening to his favorite symphonies!
So, dear reader, if you are in need of a studio space, or know someone who is, please refer him or her to our website (link is above).

Congratulations on finally making the move you have always wanted to make. Actually, although the new housing market has collapsed, an older house priced right should sell. After three major price reductions (and our third Realtor) our old house in Maui is in escrow at close to our last asking price. As long as the home inspection yesterday comes back with no major faults, we are DONE!
I know you will miss much about your lovely Florida home, but you have a lot to look forward to in North Carolina. Have you considered putting a floor plan on your website? It can help people get a feel for the layout of the house. You should also take pictures of the front outside, especially the front door. The kitchen is also an important room. A picture would help curious buyers. Have you cleaned out as much clutter as you can in the old house? People need room to walk around in. Too many personal items (pictures, certificates, etc.) make people feel that this is YOUR house and not THEIR house. You want just enough furniture to make them feel that their furniture would fit without making them think, "It's so crowded in here, how will I ever fit in my sofa?"
Hope this sale goes smoothly for you and you find the perfect buyer.
Kathryn, thank you for your comments. Yes, I was willing to wait for the experience of a winter so that Anthony would feel secure in the move, but he wanted to go ahead.
I know I need more pictures. Unfortunately, he has the camera in Asheville, but when he returns, I will go to work. I'm in the process of cleaning up the house now, clearing out clutter, etc. Not my favorite job, but the reward of selling the house is pretty exciting.
It's nice to hear what's going on with you, Luciluna! I'm sorry to hear that you won't be maintaining TWO locations, but I suppose it would be difficult, and maybe a little unsatisfying to maintain two studios.
North Carolina IS beautiful . . .
